Musical Medicine: California surgeon plays duets with patient before surgery

At Dignity Health Glendale Memorial Hospital in California, a surgeon plays a duet with a patient before surgery.  This is a great example of creating a harmony establishment between two living things, specifically between two human beings, where words are not necessary. What kind of pre-surgical conversation is going on here?  What intelligence is being exchanged beyond the translation of the brains?  What kind of ‘tuning’ is happening before the ‘symphony’ is about to begin?  This is the kind of research that Vitamusic is doing now with hospitals and healthcare providers.  What else can music do?
